Health & Safety Officer / Manager, Woking
You will have overall management of construction site Health & Safety, performing site inductions, Issuing PPE, oversee daily H&S of contractors and trade skills, conduct site inductions, devise and issue risk assessments as required.
You will be required to review method statements/risk assessments from site contractors, performing regular site inspections and investigate all accidents/incidents on site and manage the near miss reporting process. In addition, you will be expected to develop and maintain a positive H&S culture on site.
This is a new site, as such your role will evolve inline with site developments, therefore you will chair sub contractor safety meetings with selected representatives on a weekly / fortnightly basis.
You will also be expected to maintain and develop the health and safety plan as the site dictates.
You will formulate and issue process documentation, noise assessments, tool box briefs & H&S meetings. You will posses excellent communication skills and effectively deal with all trades and all levels of the workforce.
You will liaise closely with the CDM coordinator on any issues that may arise and assist in collating and maintain documentation for the H&S file after completion of the project.
